  Area 940 thousand square meters.

  Sheltered storage facilities area is 30 thousand square meters.

Reni port accepts any vessel capable to pass Sulinsky channel and “Danube – Black Sea” deep-water navigable channel through Bystroye gulf entrance, which connects Danube with the Black Sea. 39 specialized piers handle all kinds of cargo, including general cargos, bulk cargos, heavyweight cargos, oversized cargos, containers.


    Port has two specialized piers. Heavyweight cargo pier is equipped with 250-tons bridge crane. Pier length is 120 meters; depth near the pier is 3.6 meters. Pier for Ro-Ro cargo handling is 85 meters long, and depth is 3.6 meters.



Port consists of three cargo-handling areas, ferryboat complex and oil-handling area:




Cargo-handling area 1


Specialized in: metals, scrap metal, general cargo, bulk cargo (pellet), chemical cargo.


Total pier length – 960 meters.


Depth near the pier – 2.3-6.5 meters.


Total opened storage area – 24923 square meters, sheltered storage – 15881 square meters.


Carrying capacity – 2 million tons a year.


Maximum draft of handled vessel – 7 meters.


Handled vessel carrying capacity – 7-10 thousand tons.


    


 



Cargo-handling area 2:


Specialized in: metals, scrap metal, grain, wood, oils, general cargos, bulk cargos (pellet, coal, coke), phosphates (phosphorites), chemical cargos (potassium, chlorine, carbamide).


Total pier length – 1960 meters.


Depth near the pier – 3.6-7.5 meters.


Total opened storage area – 62737 square meters, sheltered storage – 5788 square meters.


Carrying capacity – 4 million tons a year.


Maximum draft of handled vessel – 7 meters.


Handled vessel carrying capacity – up to 20 thousand tons.


    



 


   Cargo-handling area 3:


Specialized in: bulk cargos (ore, pellet, coal, iron-ore concentrate, coke).


Total pier length – 565 meters.


Depth near the pier – 3.6 meters.


Total opened storage area – 61650 square meters.


Carrying capacity – 4 million tons a year.


Maximum draft of handled vessel – 3-5 meters.


Handled vessel carrying capacity – up to 5 thousand tons.


    



 


   Oil-handling area:


The only oil-handling area on Ukrainian part of the Danube, specialized in transfer of raw oil and mineral oils (gasoline, diesel fuel, vacuum gas oil, gas condensate, black oil, coal tar).


Total pier length – 258 meters.


Depth near the pier – 12 meters.


Maximum draft of handled vessel – up to 10 meters.


Maximum length of handled vessel – up to 170 meters.


Handled vessel carrying capacity – up to 20 thousand tons.


Regulatory intensity of vessel loading is 3000 tons/day, discharge intensity – from eight railway tank-cars simultaneously. Productive potential of the area allows handling more then 2 million tons of raw and mineral oil and 250 thousand tons of liquefied gas per year. Simultaneous storage volume of area tanks is 7000 cubical meters. Oil-handling area floating docks are connected with the pipeline to Reni petroleum storage depot, “Odesnefteproduct” public corporation, which provides simultaneous storage of 60 thousand tons of oil.    



 


   Ferryboat complex:


Only in Reni port there is an operating ferryboat complex, which handles Ro-Ro vessels in marine and riverside directions. Pier length – 126 meters, depth near the pier – 3.6 meters, regulatory handling value – 72 a/m per day.


  Currently operating ferryboat line Reni (Ukraine) – Ruse (Bulgaria) is the most efficient way to deliver cargo and passengers to Bulgaria by motorized transport. Distance of traveling over the Danube is 368 kilometers. Time of ferry traveling: from Reni to Ruse – 36 hours, from Ruse to Reni – 24 hours.


  Ferryboat handling is performed without delays and downtimes. 12 thousands of square meters of guarded parking lot guarantees driver safety and full security of the cargo. Ferryboat complex also provides: cargo avowal, fumigation of infected cargos, loading-unloading operations and forwarding agent services on drivers demand, customs consulting, technical aid.
