United Asia Shipping Line (UASL) was incorporated as a Private Limited Company in the year 1998, primarily to operate Container Liner Services between Southeast Asian - Indian Sub Continent - Persian Gulf countries with a fleet of owned-leased containers on the basis of Slot Charter Arrangement that the Company established with the common feeder operators and regional carriers that are linking all major trade lanes with the regional transshipment Hub Ports.
The Company, United Asia Shipping Line Ltd, was reconstituted in early 2004 in Calcutta/India as a Public Limited Company with its registered office at:
53A, Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road,
Kolkata – 700016, India.
On the 31st of May 2004 the Company obtained the Certificate of Commencement of Business and started its operation as a "Public Limited Company"
