The most deep-water and youngest port enters a list of the first three leading ports of Ukraine (Illichovsk, Odessa, Yuzhny) and occupies one of the first places in the country on cargo turn-over (16,072 mln t in 2003).
Project turn-over - 17 mln t a year.
The port is located on the north-west shore of the Black Sea in the non-freezing Maly Adzhalyk (Grigoryevsky) Liman, 30 km to the north-east from the Port of Odessa
The liman is connected with the sea by the approach channel of 3 km long and 15,5 m deep, the depth of the liman is 14m.

The port consists of 8 transshipment terminals divided into two loading and discharging districts situated on both coasts of the liman.
All transshipment terminals of the port work round the clock
High performance loading equipment allows to transship cargo in shortest terms.
An industrial TV system is installed at the port. With its help the supervision over operation of equipment and execution of cargo works is effected. Operation processes are controlled by computers.
The port also possesses up-to-date workshops for repairs of mechanical and electrical equipment. Here navigational repairs of vessels visiting the port can be excecuted.

All kinds of loading and discharging, storage and auxiliary works are being performed at the port, there being handled all kinds of bulk and general cargoes carried by marine, railway and automobile transport.
Today at the port function specialized terminals for transshipment of mineral fertilizes, liquid chemical cargoes, berths for export of bulk and general cargoes.
Around the port an industrial zone with its infrastructure is being formed which leads to the economic strengthening of the region, development of social and domestic sphere, creation of new vacancies.
A developed network of external and internal transport allows to form and operate all transshipment terminals independently from their location and form of privatization.
